Batteries in simple terms

Using a battery once and throwing it away is one of the worst things you can do to the environment.

Batteries always need to be disposed of via recycling, disposing a battery in the regular household or business trash runs the risk of having poisonous lead, mercury and cadmium exposed to our drinking water if not disposed of properly, it also continues to fill up land fills yearly.

Only use rechargeable batteries as these can be used several hundred times before they need to be recycled, thus having a much lower environmental impact to our planet, and saving you the customer money.

Did you know that one milligram of Mercury (Hg) can poisin 5300 litres of ground water, so next time before you throw your battery away remember it more than likely contains Mercury or some other heavy metal and needs to be recycled.

Please help save our planet and read our "Top 10 green tips".
